Greetings to all families! I am excited to welcome you to our new community of passionate teachers and parents. This interest in working at a preschool started before my daughter was born, but only is coming to fruition after her birth. My passion has always been in education; being able to advocate for the happiness and well-being of my students as well as create engaging and enriching curriculum to meet their unique needs and interests. I have diverse work experiences that range from working with children at the preschool age to high school. I have loved and learned from each experience - at Bright Horizons, Swing Education, Stratford, Harker, and a local public school district. I have worn many hats - as a preschool teacher, summer school teacher, substitute teacher, tutor, 2nd - 6th grade teacher, and etc. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Literatures, Language & Criticism, a Multiple Subject Credential earned from Cal State Teach, and am currently taking Early Childhood Education courses from UCLA. Hello families! I am excited to be part of the team here at Loving Tree Academy. As a teacher and a parent, I look forward to implementing a fun and safe environment for children. Initially, I was interested in a different field during my studies. I received my Bachelor's degree in Finance and Psychology at the University of Denver, Colorado. Owing to my interest in children and their development, I continued on to earn a Master's Degree in Human Development and Early Childhood Disorders from the University of Texas, Dallas. During my internship in Dallas, I spent six months at an autism agency, which further cemented my passion in Early Childhood Education. I especially enjoy using my background in piano and music to engage young learners. In addition to working with little ones, I am particularly interested in teaching Mandarin. I also spend time as a English teacher and a TOEFL writing teacher at the Tianjin New Oriental School, which helped me accumulate a diversity of language teaching experiences. I find that children learn language much faster than adults, and children have their own set of memorizing methods. Thus, I created my own teaching methods to help children learn Mandarin effectively and with joy. I have been instructing for more than 4 years and look forward to many more! I have more than two years of experience teaching Mandarin and math to students of all ages. I am committed to helping children learn in a relaxed and lively environment where they can build self-confidence and exert their autonomy in learning.
